1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CityInsites ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What CityInsites Is

CityInsites is a municipal budget intelligence platform that aggregates publicly available city financial data, generates AI-assisted analysis, and helps users discover federal grant opportunities. It is intended primarily for city managers, finance directors, and government affairs professionals.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
You may not share account credentials.
You must provide accurate registration information.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Scrape, mass-download, or redistribute the Service's data in bulk without written permission.
Use automated systems to access the Service in ways that exceed posted rate limits.
Attempt to bypass authentication or access other users' accounts.
Use the Service to generate misleading or defamatory content about specific cities or officials.

5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

CityInsites pulls from public sources (city budget PDFs, Census ACS, AirNow, federal grant databases, and others). We make reasonable efforts to verify accuracy and run automated quality audits, but the data is provided "as is" without warranty. Do not rely on CityInsites as the sole basis for any financial, legal, or policy decision. Always confirm specific figures against primary sources.

6. AI-Generated Content

Recommendations and analysis produced by the AI Budget Agent are generated by large language models and may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. They are intended as a starting point for human review, not as definitive guidance.

7. Intellectual Property

The CityInsites name, branding, dashboard layouts, and original written content are owned by CityCites. The underlying public data (budgets, Census, federal grants) belongs to its respective public sources. You may share screenshots and individual analyses for non-commercial professional use.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may schedule maintenance, change features, or discontinue the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CityCites is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to financial decisions made based on data shown.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time via the Data Deletion Request page; see our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
